Intellectual Property (Defense or Enforcement)
Intellectual property refers to anything created by an individual that can include inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names, and even images used in commerce.
Examples of Intellectual Property law may include:
Patent
An exclusive right granted for an invention. A patent allows the owner of the patent to decide how and even if others can use it.
Copyright
A legal term used to describe the rights that creators have over their works. These works include books, music, paintings, etc.
Trademark
A sign capable of distinguishing the goods or service of one enterprise from those of another. An example of a trademark would be a brand name.
If you need to defend against intellectual property claims or enforce your own, legal counsel is recommended.
